Leaving home at 14 because I could not grow, to protect my mother was not my role
Shooting from the hip with my tongue and cheek
To become who I am with a hop in my feet
A proud man that has now lost many of things
Never to be scared of being left alone again
Life is a musical until it ends
In a river of memories they'll remain
Made in the moments of each passing day

- Comment from author about the poem: Inspiration from someone saying they could no longer be in my life. I wish them as well as I've wished all life in my stroll but I've found it and no one can still my happiness, I can only give it away. That ain't ever happening again!

Fine write and dancing feet there Dan!
these words do have a certain something..
You are the creator of your destiny.
I certainly can relate Dan to your words. Wonderful write!
A lyric from that old Beatles song comes to mind Dan. "Nothing you can do but you can learn how to be you in time - It's easy, All you need is love".
Another John Lennon wise phrase "life is what happens to you whilst you are doing something else".
It's plain to see that you are truly living m8.
May those memories be filled with the wonderful symphonies from your heart and soul Dan
