bumper tap at the supermarket

Jon Nakapalau

she just tapped my back bumper

as she was pulling out
and then she parked

telling me how sorry she was
i looked at the small dent

that was in a bigger dent
that someone had left last year

so i told her it was no big deal
could hardly see it

she offers me a $10 bill
and tells me to go get lunch

but her car looks worse than mine
and her little boy in the back seat looks scared

so i tell her it is ok
i just had lunch

which is a lie
truth is i could use the money

but not that badly.
