A Four Letter Word

SerenWise

Today the sea is grey -
Your favourite colour.
But today it looks so grim...
I prefer it in your eyes,
Or on your shirt,
Not in my soul.
The mast weights
Rattle and clank
In the boat yard,
They huddle on dry land
Cowering from a stormy sea.
I have an angel in one ear,
A demon in the other;
My past is painful,
My future, unknown.
There's only one thing I crave;
One word, four letters -
And it rhymes with 'dove'.

      Love those two final lines Seren - - they augment the whole verse. - a great read.
