ITS OCTOBER & SUMMER IS REALLY OBER !
S UMMER INTO AUTUMN TRANSITION ~ IS
U sually first noticed in the Trees ~ when
M any of the leaves change colour ! Green to ~
M auve to Red to Orange to Yellow and ~
E ven to Blue ! Every colour of the ~
R ainbow ~ From SUMMER into AUTUMN !
T he temperature drops and the Days are ~
O ne or two hours shorter ~ and the Nights longer !
A UTUMN is an exciting Season ~ with
U p Market firework displays on ~
T he fifth of November ~ and very
U nusual events at HALLOWEEN !
M aking things go *Bump in the Night* Months of
N ovember ~ October ~ September can be very SPOOOOOKY !

BRIAN & I love AUTUMN and when I return to Essex (Lovely County
in the Fall) it will be in full swing ! In NZ its just coming into SPRING
so all the Leaves ar bright Green. Ive missed the fabulous hot SUMMER
you had in UK this year ~ Brian tells me he has an overall UK Suntan !

A fine write B&A. I hate Halloween. The 'world' makes too much of it as a celebration. Don't anyone dare call at my door for Trick or Treat. I will set Fido on you! lol
GOOD MORNING MISTER GRUMPY ! Angela here (8pm Wednesday) ! I blame that D*G not you ! We will warn KIDS in your AREA that UNCLE STEVE (deep down !) is a SWEET GUY - but his D*G is the rotweiller from H*D*S ! He has promised to hand out sweets @ Church - but his PORTCULLIS is guarded by
*U NO HU* Pleased you enjoyed the presentation ! At BRIANS EVANGELICAL CHURCH they always have a LIGHT PARTY on Halloween (31 October) for the 5s to 15s and have a BBQ and send off lanterns with a message of PEACE & JOY - 100% Treats 0% Tricks ! After all it is ALL SAINTS DAY ! I will be back in Essex on 31st October so I will be at Church with Brian spreading PEACE & LIGHT ! Like McDonalds - Halloween is another USA export we could do without !

It's that doggone dog, ya know! He's a pest sometimes. He chucks me out of my chair, and sits in it reading the newspaper, with his pipe and carpet slippers. What with that, and being married to KP, I feel like ending it all! (not really. lol).
Ouch! talking about cold days of year when i need what is left of the warmth.
Good observational writing. Brought to mind that not too far away will be that first taste of winter in the air probably caught when stepping out into the evening air. Brrrrr.
BRIAN HERE ! Good Morning DA ~ as I have said before SEPTEMBER is my fave Month because we get the first glimpses of Autumn ~ Turning leaves (to stop photosynthesis and allow the trees to hibernate) and the first FROSTS ! I love BONFIRE NIGHT (Nov 5) and we always have a big one in the Field behind the Church ~ Hot dogs ~ Gingerbread ~ Hot(nonalcoholic) Punch and Peeled & Cored Apples dipped in Toffee ! On 31 October we have a Light Party (see my reply to ORCHEE !) Thanks for your comments !

Autumn is favourite with me too and reading this tribute to the changes in nature makes it even more inviting - oh for those spooooky celebrations again.......... a good acrostic to the coming colours of autumn dear duo.
Thanks FAY ~ We collaborate on most of our acrostics ! Difficult to RHYME but we do try to make them scan ! Autumn is a great Season ~ Halloween and Bon Fire Night ~ acctualy burning a GUY is kinda spooky. The KIDS always get great pleasure ~ out of REAL FIRE and of course FIREWORKS ! We organise our Church one for safety Reasons ! The most exciting thing to us is the changing Leaves. Weve been to New England & Colorado in the FALL ~ it is the sheer scale of it that leaves one BREATHLESS and it lives in ones mind for ever ! Autumn & Winter in AUCKLAND (NZ) is disappointing because it never really gets cold enough for FROST - ICE & SNOW ! Still we havn*t had much in Essex these last three years ! Pleased you enjoyed the presentation !

A fine acrostic - yes summer's over - I was feeling decidedly chilly last night and we have already had the central heating on. At least the knee is slowly improving.
