Imperfection

vanessa wallace

In this canvas we call Earth, there are 2 types of colors

Lights and Darks

Lights are beautiful and airy, I look at the Lights and feel like I'm weightless

Darks are effortlessly flawless, the contrast between the Lights and the Darks look exquisite

Where do I fall?

Well, I fall under the Imperfections

A special category just for me

I'm that accidental color that makes the whole canvas look messy

The stroke of imperfection that doesn't give the canvas character, but rather makes it look second-rate

In this canvas we call Earth, there are 2 types of colors

Lights and Darks

But I'm not either of those

I'm the only Imperfection

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is based off a beautiful painting my friend made. It was a painting of cherry blossoms, had no imperfections whatsoever. I added my own little spin on it, and this was the result. I like this poem a lot actually, I'm really happy with how it turned out. I would love to know what you think.

I like this a lot. I understand completely but .... BIG but, ... you're perceived imperfection is a temporary thing through which you are moving. Where you arrive is not for either you or me to know but sooner or later you WILL be in harmony.

Great structure, and thoroughly enjoyable thought provoking piece.

That canvas is filled with wonder and glory but the imperfection you perceive is the colour that brings true life to the artwork. |Just look at that colour and look through it and the light will shine on you.

I wish to write like you one day, thank you for your input!

Beautifully sad, you expressed it so well.
That part inside all of us that never really blended in, there I guess is the true wonder of being human!

      Inspirational stuff, keep it up!
