Empty hallways

Dakota

I woke up, looking straight ahead nothing just one light in the middle and it flickers.

i start walking forward on the walls are all my best and worst memories turned to pictures.

all my hard work and things that made me stronger gave me clean hands from hands covered in blisters.

But what was it worth if so far from love that even in warm weather he shivers.

Change of pace as I walk deeper in the dark towards the end.

I hope you remember me always not as an enemy but as a good time a lover a friend.

Thats just my high hopes

We all reach for a peice of the pie, my hand stretched so far scars from jobs we never liked we look down and fall and get hung on unbalanced tight ropes.

As I go deeper it gets darker I try to light a candle.

I can’t find a match it feels like this is something I can’t handle.

im freaking out I panic but I don’t show it.

until suddenly I see a light.

when things felt wrong a new light shows me my unknown wants of a  wife slow dancing to a classic song.

i try to get a closer look the light fades out

it’s dark real dark where’s my way out.

i walked forever it seemed until I hit something and I I looked in fear.

a sign that said “I hate you more than anyone ever could”below it was a mirror.

Good writing. Strong sense of an eerie type of vibe that really helps drive the point home.

That life may be dark but if you look in that mirror there will be a light, look for the light and walk on towards it, all will be well.

Only one way to find out I have to try 😌
