We started down the road,
With joy and time and fun,
Looking for the clues,
In the late fine evening sun.
The voices were all quiet,
As we travelled full of joy,
And finished with no rows,
From man, wife or old boy.

- Comment from author about the poem: I went on a treasure hunt yesterday with some friends of mine, apparently the last time they went on treasure hunt together they argued all the time - hence the second verse. We had a great time, this poem was one of the challenges, to write a poem at a certain place where we had to stop.

Good write Gold.
Thanks Orchi.
this is a mighty fine poem GF60 and I have interpreted these words in more than the obvious treasure hunt way you intended.... excellent any which way ya look at it...
Thank you Neville, yes it was a special day.
I am sure it was my friend..
Sounds like a fun day was had.... the best bit of course is meeting up at the watering hole afterwards.
Could equally apply your words to lifes journey.
It was a fun day. We did get admonished thought as we stopped for a swift half when we had nearly finished but we were still back first. The organisers laid on a roast dinner for us all - it was great.
This is a treasure Andy.
I go on a treasure hunt nightly ~ all I have to do is close my eyes.
Ex animo, Alan
Thank you Alan. Those nightly treasure hunts can bring joy to all.
Andy.
