Three Parables.

Goldfinch60

He lost one sheep from his hundred,

Left them all to find the one,

He rejoiced having found the one,

Didn’t seem to worry about the others.

She lost one coin from the ten,

Scoured the house to find it,

She rejoiced having found the one,

The others were safe.

I lost my faith in the church,

Left it there and walked away,

Found my life again,

Rejoiced at my journey in life,

Now back on track.

In one sense, I might say 'Hooray, lost your faith in the 'church' or 'religion' - if church or religion is just bumbling on, and seeming to get nowhere, or just a set of rules.
Yet in these three parables, the third one is of the prodigal son/forgiving father. With the sheep, somehow the 99 left were still cared for somehow I think.

The 99 might still be in church but I am now enjoying my own journey.

You know how this resounds with me Goldfinch.

We are both 'singing from the same hymn sheet in this respect'.

      • Goldfinch60

We sure are d a, I am singing the bass line.

I am glad you feel able to say it like it is for you my friend.. respect..

I am also glad you have such a good taste in music.....

Pink Floyd... are something else aren't they....

I remember precisely where and what I was doing when I heard this track for the very first time.... Neville

Thank you Nevlle, I could say it no other way.

My music taste is vast, sometimes it surprises me!

Yes Pink Floyd are certainly something else, I have all their albums, no surprise there, the seventies, like the sixties, changed the face of pop music, so many good groups but Pink Floyd is possibly the best in my opinion.

The LOST SON (The Elder Son was safe in the Bosom of the Family !)
