Band Class

sylviasearcher

Delve deep into my darkness
Ravage relentless with your need
Drench me till I harvest
And for my bounty plead

Burst berries on my hollow buds
Quench me with your nectar
Show me softly, full with love
And relinquish my endeavour

Orchestrate my crescendo
Like the lighting of a fire
Watch me burn and blaze and grow
And inhale me with desire

Savour sacred scars we made
From heat and earth and stone
Play melodies that will never fade
And call them my welcome home

  • Fay Slimm.

An astounding read Sylvia - a poet's poem and full of metaphored power - - thanks a load for this first rate writing and into my favourites to savour again.

You always see the things I don’t see, in the poems that I find hardest to let out...

      Thank you Fay
