I made a vow

Alta H Mabin

Years ago
... Until now
Hurtful words
In between

The day we met
you -
dressed in all blue
I should have known

Blue
A window to your soul
Loss and pain
Unexpected bond

My mouthy thoughts
Many nights of anger
Your frustration
yet, forgiven for it all

I think of you daily
and in the darkest night
Beautiful sunny skies
Magnificent hues at dawn

I pray
I wish
I dream
I believe

Years ago
... Until now
I vow
to hold you close forever

A fine write Alta. The easiest vow to make? Erm, to stop listening to my singing?! lol.

Ha Ha no, now I really want to hear you sing.

It’s a pity Orchi didn’t sing at Hastings, perhaps the Normans would not have landed!

I hope that closeness never fails.

Are you saying that opposites attract?
        Beautiful poem!

Oh absolutely. Thanks so much, Fred.
