the wall around your heart

Jon Nakapalau

the wall around your heart

was built with shattered dreams
sharp obsidian with red striations

that will always cut
anyone who tries to climb over

i have added my blood graffiti
and still cant get over

to the beauty i know is there.

Those shattered dreams WERE there, but they will dull and finding the beauty of their heart will come.

I want to believe that - thank you.

Jon you say it well. Too often all we see in another person is that wall and not the beauty inside.
