Christina

Mr H

The day you left was the day my life changed forever.

There will never be a moment when we are in a room together.

I heard a bang when I was about to sleep.

When I heard the news the next morning I began to weep.

A beautiful voice,  a beautiful soul, I couldn't get my head around the way you were taken.

It broke my heart, it broke my soul my world was shaken.

I didn't know you personally, although I wish I had.

You're in my heart forever now and I hope for that you're glad.

It's always sad when when people die.

Forever in my heart, forever on my mind fly angel fly.

  • Comment from author about the poem: My inspiration for this poem were the feelings I had surrounding the death of Christina Grimmie. I was introduced to her voice the day after she was killed by an obsessed fan. Everytime I think of her I get wrapped up in a multitude of emotions. She should still be here today. Rest in peace, Christina.

ANGELA HERE - Welcome to MPS it is an empathetic site ! Thanks for sharing MRH - a lovely structured tribute to CHRISTINA GRIMMIE. It is always very sad for Surporters when a Star dies (and especially if they are murdered) in mid-Career ! Brian & I are Country Fans and it brought to mind Patsy Cline (33) and Jim Reeves (40) and Elvis (42). I was born in 1988 and they all died before my TIME. The one I was fond of was AMY WINEHOUSE and we all still miss her sassiness & Duets with TONY BENNETT (93 !). Thanks for sharing & caring. Please check MICHIGAN - Thanks ! I will add to your FUSION - Please check ours *What can I do to save the EARTH ?*
