Country music is dead

Theparkangel

Country music is dead
I was at her funeral
Her Killers are the pallbearers brother Osbourne chris Jansen and fgl, are you surprised
Chris Stapleton tried resuscitate and bring her back to life
Brantley Gilbert is the drunk seeking to avenge her death
Country was a great aunt to miranda, pistol anties, and Lady Antebellum
She is preceded in death by her children, man in black, the possum hank Williams and waylon
Though she was beautiful She never married nor settled down
Though she's no longer in that town you can still hear her singing in the wind
Eric's church is holding the eulogy
Sure wish I could tell you more but I won't
I won't open that door
Because to me she was a night walker carrying STDs, what a crazy little whore

  • Comment from author about the poem: I love all music. I don't think today's country is trash but country isn't country. it's gone pop and rightfully so it should.

We can still listen to real Country of course but the modern country singers have moved on into new ways as we all do.

I agree. That's way I said it's gone pop and rightfully it should. I dont have an issue with it after all that is keeping Country music around. It's all about what the audience wants.
