Loves Dormant Memories
09/26/2019

Loves dormant memories,
relegated to the forgotten realm
Once freshly recounted, when,
sorrowful heart, stood at helm

Jarred from their slumber,
The heartache, begins anew
With whom to share
Old age, has left, but a few

The memories of young love,
that once stood by my side
Have come flooding back
Tears, I wish, to no longer hide

Alone, many a decades lapsed
Though only a short span together
Time could not steal from me
What seemed, would last forever

Alas, this moment too will pass
Wondering! what's real, what's not,
Poetry, need not, real events
Just a lonely heart, to create again.
