So I got up.

So I had a shower.

So I had breakfast.

So the ‘phone rang.

So I answered it.

So it was a wrong number.

So I ignored it.

So then I went out.

So I drove.

So I drove to the coffee bar.

So I ordered an americano .

So I sat down.

So I drank it.

So slowly.

So I read the paper.

So I wrote these words.

So I finished writing.

So then I went home.

So then…….?

So.

  • Comment from author about the poem: So I get fed up. So people start each sentence with so. So the doctor was interviewed. So every sentence he started with so. I do get peeved at the use of language in this was where nearly every sentence begins with so. I heard a doctor being interviewed on the television and he started nearly every sentence with that word.

                  Another word kids are using these days is 'like'...and "like, I went to store and like, I asked for this and like, " it goes on forever with them....so annoying!! Great write!

                    Thanks UNCLE ANDY ~ NKC Trio is a FAVE with us especially his early stuff ! Great JAZZ PIANIST & a GREAT JAZZ VOICE what more could one ask ! One of the greatest PERFORMERS of the 20th C ! Reprised by His Daughter Natalie in the late 20th C but never eclipsed. ANGELA & I do a talk on NKC for Seniors (70+) not a dry eye in the house at the end ~ a very emotional Entertainer ~ AMEN !
