I Miss Her.

Goldfinch60

I know she is in the best place,

Being looked after by wonderful people.

But I miss her.

Her dementia was so bad,

I tried my best to care for her .

But I miss her.

I just could not cope,

The worse she got the harder it became.

But I miss her.

She is being cared for,

I am much more relaxed.

But I miss her .

I have time for myself,

Doing things I used to do,

But I miss her.

She is no longer with me,

She needed more care than I could give.

But I miss her.

So long we’ve been together,

I will always be in love with her.

But I miss her.

My wonderful wife is in the best place,

I am getting back to my own life.

But I miss her.

I really miss her.

A poignant write Gold. Oh dear! A widow I know - her husband would not have home-help. She did it all in caring for him, and he lingered on infirm until age 100.

              Andy,

              Of course you miss her!
She is the love of your life!
              Take comfort in knowing that...
“My wonderful wife is in the best place,”...
At least you know she’s being taken care by wonderful people in the best place she can be with her dementia!

My love to Joyce and to you!

Just got out of hospital and found your words tonite which sadden even the coldest heart.
Thank goodness you have found strength to bear these terrible pains of anguish and sorrows.
And of course Andy, the faith to know that there is always tomorrow and we must be there to live it through to our destiny, whatever that is and whatever it means.

                  • Goldfinch60

Thank you d a, yes I have found the strength to go through these times with the help of words and music, always music.
Yes our destiny is there ahead of us and it will be waiting for us - but not yet as there is too much music to listen too.

                    Andy.

                    How are you?
