just a half written song

dusk arising

can you look me in the eyes
and tell me, just tell me i'm wrong
and how long,
just tell me, tell me, tell me,
oh baby how long
how long has this been going wrong

 cos I find me....
tossin and a turnin in my sleep at night
when you and me
oughtta be makin it out
making everything thing
every damned thing right

(but the) tracks of your tears
in the mirrors of my eyes
break the heart of my days
now there's no surprise

i just
betcha gonna hurt me
fore this day is done
betcha gonna break it
like a hit and run
ya think i'm gonna take it
cos u aint the one
you never broke a heart
you just having fun

.....like you never, never never
.....broke a heart at all....

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is just a silly song i found myself writing last night (a snappy funk blues) and got to tired to give it any kind of completion (too lazy to finish writing it more like!) but thought i'd put it on here as i have no other stuff ready.

Those broken hearts can be fixed as the future is there for you.
Good song - do you have the tune?

      • dusk arising

My heart isn't in romantic break at the moment thankfully, this was just pulled out of the ether so to speak. Yes i do have tune and melody in mind but i'm not going to pursue the song.

Thanks for the positive my friend.

Glad you decided to post this bit of blues - I reckon it would go as well as Cohen's if broadcast further than this little site..........
