Mr Freedom

dusk arising

Good morning Mr Freedom
hey, welcome back again
relax, put your feet up
take it easy my old friend
I know ive been neglecting you
something pretty 'interfered'
but-as-from ten-o-clock-last-night
it hasn't.....   re-appeared

and oh, Mr Freedom
guess i've been holding
out on you
but from now on
ev-ry-thing round here
will be just what suits you
and seeing as its been so long
and we ought to celebrate
why-dont-we-go-downtown-tonite
and stay out till its late

Mr Freedom...    play me my old CD's
Mr Freedom...    wear me my old and ragged jeans
Mr Freedom...    lets dine out cantonese
Mr Freedom...    maybe date that lynx Louise
Mr Freedom...    my favourite magazines
Mr Freedom...    drive me a mean machine
Mr Freedom...    one more BigMac and cheese
Mr Freedom...    drink a cup of tea
Mr Freedom...    let you be you
Mr Freedom...    cos you let me be   ME!

Loved it! Great tune in my head, definitely with jazz music!

Always appreciated much peace and respect

Yes its deinitely a slow sleazy relaxed jazz feel Dan, you're right. Just an expression of release really. Thanks as ever m8.

Great poem, d a! There are days when all of us who are in a relationship dream of Mr Freedom, even if it is only for a few hours!
To me it feels more like a country music tune.

I'm not strict about music genres, whatever suits your mood is good in my book. I know that when i wrote this the feeling of freedom was really potent in the air.

Great piece, I have only just got up and this makes me want to lay back and enjoy the freedom once more.
