Ticked all my box's & off I flew... Thank you

Poetic Dan

You've ticked all my box's so I'll try saying this as best as I can, as I was very late to join up with the high class intellectuals, with the vocabulary to make my dictionary button do a drum & bass dance!

I've walked long enough to know you'll never know, these could be the last words I'll ever write or show.

I could be hiding behind ego with every last breath, knowing if it leaves me so will this passion for life its self

I could be trying to make sense of something that is not there, even follow blindly into traditional despair

These open words have been from my heart, given to be broken apart.

Some seeing the light or the dark, reflecting back so I could find my souls art

After taking a break writting this to do a night feed, I started to remember some of my first posting.

A struggling man knocked down to many times, by broken expectations within plans of dreams in you & I

Found over time many going their own way, lost in the madness we create when we play

Inspired by the good and the bad, nothing ever took my passion for who I am.

I came here with some broken wings now I've learnt to fly again

If I never post another thing it will not because I stepped of my cliff

I've attracted all I've needed to and maybe it's time my new life begins with.....

Too-da-loo........

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is my 505th writing and I have always used it to for my health, recently I began to see that people get more affected by my words than I thought. I give you the right to judge and I'm going back through to do the same, not only for my grammar and spelling too, but truly to remember this path I came. This poem did come as a shock but I write what I feel and think about it after, I still don't think I'll really stop I've got so many thoughts......thank you all, that helped tick a box. I guess its like I'm going back through my history to make sure I don't repeat myself, much peace and respect

  • Thoughts In Time

Hmmmm straight from the heart...going back to the start..always good to reflect but pause there and be back here now..at times it seems like a game but you’re winning all the same..time and place has its space but the heart needs to do what is good for you ..sometimes we think too much and too deep we need to be still and just know all shall be well..another deep true and amazing poem...don’t ever doubt ...🌹

You have moved on a long way in your life Dan, you are so much freer now and not held down by the troubles that daunted you in the beginning. It will be a shame if you do leave this site as you obviously have so many more words within you that you could share.
If you do leave us Dan I wish you well for the future for you and your family.

May your God go with you.
        Andy.

I have so many more ideas and thoughts but at the time of writing this I'd had enough. It's not easy to always let go of others judgements but then what else do I write for other than wishing to express and be heard!

After two days of sitting on this I still feel something must change just not sure what! Thank you so much for all your time and support...

That's the reality of existence you just encompassed Dan. No rules, and any plan is just adopting to whatever comes along.
Whereas you're likely to continue exercising your mind with the written word it's not essential is it? Time off and letting go can and will i think bring new perspectives. I recall that when i stopped playing my saxes for long periods, the return to them revealed a completely new approach from me and it was potent.
I'm thinking you just might find something similar happens..... after all Dan, with that beautiful daughter and loving wife, there's plenty to be getting on with.

If you do disappear for a while, don't stay away.

The last words I read before I close my eyes, I shall imagine that saxophone abs drift nicely for what hours I have because as you said I have plenty to do for a while!

Thank you for so much truth in your own words always a pleasure!
