End Of The Ever Afters...

kevin browne

I wish I could fly, fly away with you
Wish I could see you in front of me
I could try to make us stick like glue
We could try to sail the seven seas.

If you wanted to we could last forever
And we'd look across for us to find
A place where we could live together
And we'd learn about the things in life.

Wish the summers were more summery
For there are many men who fancy one
Where lions roar and take your money
And where to wish after when we are done.

Now people have wished upon a few stars
And many an image half the world away
We could fly up to the Moon, Neptune and Mars
And you were the one who said we'd stay.

And even though the answers we had given
And even though nothing ever felt better
To spend life alone is a place for the living
To shake off my shoes and write a love letter.

And as things get done we'll touch the Sun
Where lost was found upon a happy place
And the songs we'd wish to sing have gone
But, look into see, to see your own grace.

And underneath the stars at night, we'd love
And behind the Moon, we could learn a bit
About The Milky Way and the beauty above
Wishing for only more, more than we had it.

I wish I could hear your voice in my heart
As I wished upon a lonely star to get better
Swinging from the sky if only we'd depart
As I'm sure to find that only tears get wetter.

Wish I could hide in a life of love and laughter
I wish I could hold your hand and be okay
But, there always seems to only be an answer
As I wish I could cry and dream for you to stay.

Now there's just one thing left to wish for
Being in love with you is our love so divine
And it's not until the end of the ever afters
I don't have to wish for your hand in mine.

Kevin i absolutely loved this one sir! It has so so many pearls within it and the way you embroider romance around t youhe astral bodies is a work of art in itself.

A must for my favourites... thank

      • Poetic Dan

I've finished my jobs, sat down with a cuppa tea and listening to your voice. Off I floated and off course my herbs help but I can also do easily go the other way as well.

The passion you give into every sentence, really takes me to other dimensions. I play with your story mixing it with mine and in that moment my world is sublime!

Always greatful you're here to stop by, next time I promise to bring more cake to enjoy.

Dan, you have a place in my heart and in my poetry anytime you wish to visit, don't forget the cake though, and feel the freshness of the beautiful stuff that normally passes us by unnoticed. To have you mix up the groove within each other work then like you say it reaches the height of sublime. Yes, as spoke of before there appear to be similarities within our personalities and influences and writing. I love descriptive poetry. The imagery of the missing parts is where I capture the imaginations in their beauty. I'd like to write somethig with you. Could create some real magic together.

And all the things we wish upon if only they all came true..I believe they do the niceness and the eternal love true and the appointed ‘me and you’...I wish and believe too...never stop dreaming..looks like you might be there ...🌹
