All light comes from the dark

Poetic Dan

No matter how much light, it all came from the dark

Let nobody else tell you, who you truly are

Build that tower brick by brick, remember you did every bit!

Let those positives pick you up and the negative ground your strut

When you're low they'll say, the answer is within

When you find it and glow, they'll say, no, that's now your ego

To much love and forgiveness, they will call it all fake

When you keep it real and still open the cage, this was no mistake!

Nothing has the power over you, yes we've all got something to prove

There's only one me, like there's only one you

Each with our truth, to build, play and sound like we do

Remembering to never let a label stick like glue

Be water my friends, embodied by you!

The lighthouse will always have a job to do

Until darkness returns, to infinity and beyond

  • Comment from author about the poem: 5 years ago I started writing and sharing my thoughts because I felt so alien in the world. I actually still do but made peace with it because I am the only one and just like Tigger said, ( Winnie the Pooh) it should be.. Fun, fun, fun, fun, funnnnn... Because I'm the only one! (Junglist)

But how about 'God is light, and in Him there is no darkness at all'. The one without beginning or end. He just IS light. Though we would go insane trying to humanly imagine a Being with no beginning, even if we can imaging no ending!

I'm afraid in my view (as you ask) there is no all light or all dark, there are just transitions and phases, so to speak.

Folk go insane hearing me sing, but that's another matter.... heehee.

That darkness will always be overcome by the light within our souls.
