Tune: Genesis
('Think of a world without any flowers')
Luke 10 v.1-9
*********
The Lord appointed seventy, each pair
Went in His name the gospel to share
Went on before Him, went to every place
Where He would come and show them His face
Chorus
In teaching, preaching, healing, the gospel shown
God's good deeds, words, and life to men are known
The Lord said, Harvest great, labourers few
Go in my name, teach, preach, heal, and do
Be labourers for me, and pray for more
Workers to share of the gospel-store - Chorus
Go as lambs midst wolves, travelling lightly
Not excess load or baggage there be
Say firstly, Peace be to this house and all
Who live and dwell here within these walls - Chorus
If peace accepted, it will there remain
But if not, no blessing will they gain
Though peace not lost, it shall return to you
Keep sharing of the gospel in view - Chorus
Eat and drink what is there set before you
Teach, preach, and bring my healing too
To the sick, needy, and unto them say
Kingdom of God is near you this day - Chorus
So too your healing, body, spirit, soul
Avails today to make us all whole
Show us your healings, your wonders, us bless
You who do great works, Lord, numberless - Chorus

- Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem with Verses in 10.9.10.9. metre, and Chorus (or Refrain of last two lines of each verse) in 11.10. metre. I was inspired by a Healing Service - Sunday nearest St Luke the Physician's Day (Oct 18th).

Thanks A&B. The verses have the same metre as 'Morning has broken'. But this has a Chorus too - it's two extra lines each verse in the original, so not really a chorus.
