Inspired to never sway

Poetic Dan

We didn't put our hoods up because we thought we were hard, we put our hoods up because we are emotionally scared.

The bitterness of all weather can take its toll, but the bass from the ear piece soothes our soul.

You many see illusions of attitude or attention seeking, but we see intent with a will to express what we're thinking. To handle any business that comes our way, sometimes it can be thunder before the sun rays.

Never judge the covers of those that are castaway, we're here on our own missions and can never obey. You'll see a nod of acceptance, then will be on our way!

We appreciate the tune that each person plays, never asking questions, just getting inspired to never sway!

Some shops have a notice now:' No hoods up while in shop, please!'
Another one said 'No more than 3 students in the shop at time, please'. A bit immature I thought - students are practically grown men/women. They're not going to trash the shop, are they?

Lol I would not of let the young me in a with friends and hoops should always come down in shops!

      Always appreciated

      Hi Poetic Dan,

      This poem is superb!

It evokes a deeper meaning about tolerance and acceptance of others as well as being accepting of ourselves.

      Keep writing FineB

People are all individuals and should all be treated with respect no matter what tune of life they are playing.
