I Am A Clock

Thoughts In Time

‘I Am A Clock’

I need
To tick

I need
To tock

For I am

A clock.

I honestly can't stand the noise at night, my grandparents always had them up stairs and I never slept well!

    Short and sweet

GOOD EVENING KELLY - Love DALI and his *LIQUID CLOCKS* are awsome - seems like TIME has gone FLUID ! Love the POEM because in essence we are all clocks because we know instintively (through our inner clock) just what time of the Day it is - to the nearest hour. I essence it makes wearing a wrist watch superfluous ! Except perhaps for the MANTRA in my Poem on Etiquette which emphasises PUNTUALITY as a virtue ! English Church Services START (and sometimes finish) ON TIME. We like Evening Services in West Indian Churches roughly 6 to 9 pm ! People come and go - Pray - Give a Testimony - Sit in with the Band etc. Very casual & lively and not a slave to time ! Weddings are very time controlled but an Evening Buffet & Band is timeless ! Your Poem made us think !

          Blessings & Peace & Joy
          Love ANGELA & BRIAN

I have a grandmother clock that ticks and strikes the hour and half hour. It was bought the year I was born by my Grandfather, passed down to my mother and then to me. As far as I am aware it has only ever been on two walls first in my Grandfathers/parents house and now in our current house and it is still going after seventy one years. My life would be strange without it.
There is a poem that I wrote on the site, see my poem on May 16th 2019 entitled 'That Clock.'
