Extended Ripples of Life.

Goldfinch60

I toss a pebble into the water,

The mirror like image is disturbed.

Circular ripples race from the centre

Like the beginning of new life,

So many things learned in a short time.

The ripples start to slow becoming bigger

The time for learning starts to be more profound

As life extends into childhood

The ripples extend into waves

Smoothing the path to the future

Where calmness comes into my life

Until old age causes the ripples to meander

Meander slowly getting ever bigger

But never stopping

Those waves may become unseen

But age is just a passing that moves

Moves into an endless time

And those waves show you the way

Into eternity.

What came into my mind reading this, was that this is 'very spiritually philosophical'.
(I was thinking - ooh, bit dangerous I know, but it's gotta be done sometimes! lol).
Yes, let's think - sometimes, anyway!

Thank you Orchi, thinking works occasionally.

Phew, glad to hear it. Pity I didn't think in 1066, but there's nothing more we can do about that now!

this is one of those to contemplate whilst relaxing and feeling completely comfortable with one's own world.....

        • Goldfinch60

Very true Neville, I am glad that you think that way.

Those ripples are made even clearer by your capture of what they represent - a wonderful way to see the waves made by pebbles.

Thank you for your kind words Fay.

Ripples expand with age of wisdom, as evident in such poetic words

Thank you Suresh, glad that you agree.

Angela & Brian here ~ Good afternoon Uncle Andy ~ We love JACQUELINE a very powerful and soul stirring cellist ~ especially with Daniel conducting ! Thanks again for the very eclectic range of music you share with us ! Ripples in a stream is an apt description of our lives. Close together in the excitement & experience of YOUTH and then wider & slower as we age ! Middle Age is now 45 so we are a decade at least away. We have much to experience (and much to learn ?) as we anticipate Married Life (can two really life as cheaply as ONE ?) and (DV) a Family of our own. We have been assured (as a Couple) that we should have no difficulty in conceiving (at the right time) !
A great PIECE and (in our opinion) an equally great POEM which has conditioned a very apposite response !

Blessings & Peace to YOU & JOYCE
