'Mine'
I know the answers
I know what's true-
But Lord
Its just sometimes-
I don't know
What to do-
I know you've
Got me
In the palm
Of your hand-
I know its
Part of your plan-
Pull me in
Keep me close-
Its only through
You Lord
That I am able
To cope-
As a rope entwines-
Its your will
And not mine-
Memorised
In time-
All part of
The climb-
The journey
Within-
From the beginning-
You were
Mine.

'Tis so, we don't know what to do at times. We could pretend we know, and look all super-spiritual, but that's no use to us or to anyone in the end.
True ...we need to have faith believe and know God never sleeps or makes mistakes🌹
This is a very good write and I used to believe it but the circumstances that have taken my wife from me into her world of dementia has removed all thought and beliefs that god is there to help her or me.
See my poem "Abandoning Christianity" published on 7th August.
I still believe in My Spirit as being part of me and will carry me through to eternity but it is not the christian god in whom many believe.
We all have our own form of who god is and we all just walking eachother home ..all connected I believe in some way ..I don’t have answers for anything but u think it's goid to believe in something ...sorry to hear that 🌹
A sort of digression - you may know The Song of Solomon in the Old Testament. At intervals there are expressions of yours/mine.
It begins that the Beloved is 'mine', then moves through to 'I am my Beloved's and he is mine' - in surrender (but not a doormat!) , trust, growing relationship, etc.
Yes true...we have to have balance and live shared equally ...nice to know you are loved by someone who loves you 🌹
Yes, thanks T. In that Song, it reaches heights of sublimity; sometimes erotic if uncovering the true meanings (ooh!), etc. I sometimes hum 'Gone with the wind' when I get to the final Chapters of that Book! I'm gushing now... lol.
