Lamar Cole

Country Living

Wood popping in the fireplace.

Eating home grown food at dinner and saying grace.

Baking bread on the old wood stove.

Picking peaches from the grove.

Taking baths in the old washtub.

Heading to the creek for a scrub.

Working hard from dawn to dusk.

Going to church on Sunday was a must.

Such lovely notions, family life, nothing better. You paint a beautiful picture. there is something very special in your writing, I have just brought in ten pears from the garden, there is magic to be had in home grown, the true spirit of life. Well done. Joe

This speaks to me of a lifestyle which I thought had died out 200 years ago. Saying "grace"????
