Four Letter Words

Neville

Four Letter Words

The word 'fecundity’

In my personal opinion

Is one of those words

I had often heard of so to speak

But never actually used in real terms

Until the eve of my 25th birthday

The word 'fecundity’

In my own humble opinion

Is one of those words

That both could and should be

Used more often in everyday speak

Around the globe

And most definitely more so than

Certain other words in particular

Some of those all too frequently

Inappropriately used and often

Offensive four letter ones

Like Hate and Risk and Love and Nice

Ah - Fecundity - yes tis an appropriate eight-letter word that could out-date the offensive four..... to fecundate is to fertilize hence it could be less risky to ask if fecundation might take place instead of the usual cum-to-bed dictatorial - - ha - if that is what was meant by this intriguing appeal for more genteel ways toward giving lust a nicer expression. - great little write Nev........................ Fay.

You are absolutely almost spot on Fay... add the fact that folk use the terms love and hate far too often and inappropriately, plus the word nice is vague and risk is almost always considered in negative terms... and there ya have it... spot on... bless you and true dear friend...

Fido was ready to bark at the four letter word, but he will settle for the nine letter one!

Having proved my fecundity i no longer have much use for the word unless it is hoping my grandkids are fecund when the time comes.
Hate is a word i rarely use but love on the other hand i use freely and often. There are many kinds of love. Generally we learn of romantic love firstly probably because of it's strength. But as we age we become aware of many other forms of love.
Maybe i use the word too often, but i'm content to continue doing as I do.

Amusing, disturbing and for me controversial.

Thank you DA for your very detailed response to my most recent post.... I have a particular issue with how often the word love is used when what is really meant is I like.... for example I love his shirt or shoes.... when what I imagine is really meant is I like the style of his or her shoes, or something similar... I dunno whether this clarifies things, or not..

I always thought love and hate are oppsed to each other. However, you have given me a new perspective outlook on four lettered words. There are enough and sit well deep within us all wheter its either both or either of each one in a sentence. An intriuging speculation to be gazed upon more clearly within our language and mouths..

Thank you Kevin for your thoughts on these words and the dilemma that inspired them....

So many words are used in this day and age that are totally meaningless in many situations. That fecundity should be spread to all so that the correct meaningful words are used in the right situation.

thanks GF60.. I do appreciate and truly..
