Bring It Home Bokke

Thoughts In Time

‘Bring It Home Bokke’

Green is the colour
A team
Like no other

It’s our mother land
And we keep
Holding up our
Hands
In victory
Let’s do this
For history
It’s no mystery
That green
Is the gold

A new rugby era
Unfolds
No matter the stories
Being told
The trophy’s
Waiting and cold

So Bokke bring
It all home
Let it no longer
Roam

Make us proud
Shout it load
Stand out
In the crowd

Make us proud

Let it go down
In history.

I am a Rugby nut Kelly I watched all 45 of the matches (should have been 48 but three were cancelled due to the cyclone.
Obviously I would have liked to see England win but the better team won on the day and deservedly so. This win will go into history as Siya Kolisi captained the Springboks.
There were some superb matches throughout the championship.

The wonderful way the Japanese honoured all the players and fans was so wonderful. There was no acrimony at all (except in one match near the start) all the players treated each other with respect and humour. A wonderful series and I believe that the absolute winner was the game of Rugby itself.
My sincere congratulations to South Africa for winning the Rugby World Cup.

Oh how kind of you and I’m very proud to have been born in SA and grew up there..yes they did SA proud and deserved to win..but there are sadly some very sour British people out there today ..they can’t even say congratulations...the best team win and it’s only a game but one well played..I’m glad you’ve enjoyed it and thankyou once again🌹

Your poem is the desire of every competitive individual or a team, around the globe ( the Washington Nationals, a baseball team, won their first championship in 95 year history).
    Well done
