When I was young I was told the first casualty of war was the truth
Yet I was still told all of this freedom was because of you
I have always wondered about theses "who & you" the plastic people I never knew
As you were never the ones making the arms or creators of bombs
Not just machines without a mind, others left many messages to help mankind
I know there was a flame of peace in everyone's eyes, but it lost the blue for others highs
Deep down in the core the hottest part of our hearts, would not let any other dictate the path
No soul can ever rest until we truly remember all the lesson of the past, not just remember the ones that suit us
We are the most vulnerable being on this planet, all babies born to find attachment in authentic
A need to connect and feel a purpose role with it, easily taken on anyone else's trip
Lovers not fighters have no need to attack, but will defend their own piece of land.
Nobody got power or put up on a pedestal without us, I thank all the lives given so could have mine
When I remember, I remember for as far back as the information goes.
For at the end of time, there is just me
I guess I'll keep going till I lose my beat
As all did before & will continue forever after me.

- Comment from author about the poem: They also say war is not pretty so maybe neither is the truth(my point of view), many seeds have been planted nothing said anymore is original. The only thing new is the actions we choose, this is why I do what I do. Thanks for your time and your truth, keep up the write and follow mostly you!

All we can do is live our own lives in the most peaceful way we can and hope that our peace can show others the way we should go.
Indeed good sir, indeed!
Always appreciate your time 😉
Powerfully stated, the spikes that pierced the truth, while making us the beneficiaries
Absolutely, thanks for listening to my ramblings!
