Bride And Groom

orchidee

Tune: St Fulbert

('Ye choirs of new Jerusalem')

*********

The Lord did come, a Bride He sought

He obtained it, blood-bought

For through His Son He paid the price

Of our sins, all-suffice (all-sufficient)

He is the Groom, we are His Bride

The Church, He does reside

By His Spirit within our hearts

Comes to possess all parts

Help us learn, love, be faithful spouse

We of your church, your house

You our husband, yet Father too

Your people you renew

You would come, care, redeem each one

Who does trust in your Son

For forgiveness and salvation

Eternal life [to] each one

My Spirit is certainly within me and always will be, it is christianity that I no longer agree with.
