A look into are near future world

Liisung

City of ash

forest of sand

and here we stand

amongst the dammed

kingdom of snow

and sky of black

forever tortured by out past

left to atone for their mistake

never to rest so please for our sake

our globe of mess

from our ancestors past

the children of tomorrow

Left to live in a world of sorrow

left to see this world of shame

city of ash which we once knew

no clean air for us to breathe

pollution, disaster, dread, and regret

we have all murder

we killed the life on which we live

now our children will never know of forests

or fresh air

our kingdom will fall

on selfish desire

out tume is running out

so make a change

and save the planet

as we do not own this world on which we live

yes we have hurt it and hurt it

so it’s our job to heal it

  • Comment from author about the poem: This power is a look into the future of our world and what might happen if we don’t stop pollution and chopping down trees. It’s about what the future generation will have to face if we don’t do something now.

Very true write Liisung, the problem is that those in power who can do something about it will not listen as there is no money in it for them.
I do wish they would listen and respect the world in which we live.
