Charming but not Sincere

Jane Frye

Hey, you got away with it.

Stole my heart,

Only to play with it.

You baited me and I fell for it.

Now my heart is giving me hell for it.

I know it was overdue.

Just a matter of time before I fell for a man like you.

Now I'll pay my dues,

And I'll sing the blues,

But in the end

I'll dance again.

May that dance lead you to the man who will truly love you.

Thank you. Just a poem, no real drama.

Very playful, and very observant. OK, just a poem... yeah like we believe that!

No, really...just a poem! Okay, maybe a little bit true. 😀 This reminds me of Mark Twain's funny comment, "I have known a great many troubles in my life, but most of them never happened."
