I have chosen ELVIS because he was born @ the right time
1935 and moved to the right place Memphis Tennessee ! His
Parents were POOR (visit his Birthplace in Tupulo Mississippi)
but he was blessed with a Film Star Profile and an amazing
VOICE 2.5 Octave Range ! He could sing everything & did !
He earns much more DEAD than most of us do ALIVE ! He
made lots of mistakes ~ Wrong Manager ~ Wrong Crowd ~
Bad Diet & too many Prescription Drugs. He died of Heart
Failure & Polypharmacy @ 42 (1977) mourned by a World
of Teenagers & adoring Adult Fans. Hes still as popular TODAY.
NATURE dealt Him a GOOD HAND ~ NURTURE killed HIM !

I'll be dead then. Will I do more than now? I might be dead now, in fact. Eh?! Fido says - enough of my talking rubbish! heehee. I know a guy who collects all Elvis stuff. They call him Elvis, but he looks nothing like him. Doh!
ANGELA HERE - HI UNCLE STEVE ! We*ll all be DEAD sometime - so we have to CARPE DIEM while we have some time left ! I know ELVIS fanatics and also some who make a good living as ELVIS IMPERSONATORS ! There are 1000s of Elvis Impersonators in the WORLD ~ The first one started in 1954 when ELVIS was only 19 ! ELVIS would have been 84 had he lived ! Tony Bennet is 93 and still does about 100 concerts per year in the USA !

Erm, by the time I found out want Carpe Diem meant, I had not much day left to seize! Doh! Such is life. Well, this 'Elvis' goes to church. One suggested having a word with him, in case he makes it into idolatry - Whoops! But seriously, no point in making a dead hero into the main focus of our life - not that this 'Elvis' does so.

HI MICHAEL ~ We omitted to say our style of POETRY is TOO Juvenile ~ Acrostic ~ Concrete & Scientific (deals with facts & not fantasies) & too openly Spiritual for some ! This seems to invite criticism ~ but we ignore it ! Working in the Field of Science we ar both very used to criticism.

First rate acrostic dear duo and as for the number -a fave of mine - - what a voice .............. our genes are something we cannot alter.
Thanks for your comment FAY ~ Pleased you enjoyed it ! Rhyming acrostics take a lot of fine tuning but easier when theres two of you ! MY WAY is more associated with SINATRA but we love the Elvis Version and personally we feel HE is a good illustration of NATURE & NURTURE. Born with incredible good looks and a perfect voice (850 tracks each one perfect) but the pressures of Fame & Society caused his premature DEATH @ just 42. I feel that like John Lennon ~ Jime Reeves ~ Buddy Holly ~ Nat King Cole and Patsy Cline etc ~ Elvis had much more to give ! He would have been 85 in January ! Tony Bennett 93 is still singing as good as ever in the USA ~ AWESOME !
We are the product of our GENES forever !
