Peaceful Pursuit

sylviasearcher

It feels like I’ve been waiting
Since the day my first breath became released
For the moment to end my contemplating
A time to feel only peace

Are you ready
Do you have the strength?
To stop the fight
To end the endlessness of night

It feels like I’ve been lost in forever
Like the purpose of being was being kept secret
Until the moment I could end this endeavour
A time for a peaceful retreat

Are you ready
Do you have the desire?
To stop the torment
To bleed forgiveness upon passions ill spent

Oh believe me, I am nowhere but still all around!
Like a song that no one can hear
It’s time to sense in your bones, righteous sound
So far from the world, but so near

Are you ready
Do you have what it takes?
To stop human crimes of man’s making
And live, love, hope until: peace is all that’s worth taking

No editing needed in my opinion for this inspiring verse on pursuing the feeling of peace.......... a lovely read Sylvia.
