Who I Am.
Liberation-discharge has a loud call, need
to unwind shouts boldly
as the fettered mind feels no better until
it achieves de-control.
Caged, a muzzled soul will unravel slowly
wanting freedom concealed
in convention yet struggle slowly widens
bars of stress for relief.
So release me, unhand my heart disband
this neglected affair
and leave hold of erroneous persuasion
that shackled stands for care.
Who I am is unique and meant to flap
dried wings then celebrate
life as a personal journey, not letting
others dictate my state.

Although thoroughly enjoyed dear Fay I must confess, for the first time ever, I may not have guessed , twas you that penned 'Who I Am'....... Looks like you but in my head , I struggle.... I think tho that is your gift... you can not and should not be caged or forced into any corner, or poetic genre....... I know what I mean.. I hope you do too...... N
Much more than thanks for this comment Nev. . Your assessment is near to accurate my friend as, moons ago I wrote this dance of a rant because I had found ways to liberate and de-conventionalize my role-play - since when it has felt good to be me - - and to use a quote ( I know what I mean and I hope you do too) - -- Fay

I truly agree that self-awareness can lead to self-value - thank you dear Angela for your visit and read of my rant against becoming convention-caged when being unique we have so much to give.
Hugs to you both................ xx xx Fay
A fine write Fay.
Thanks for your visit and comment dear Orchi.
Each of us is unique and once we find ourselves and our own lives (as I have again recently) freedom is ours to do what WE want to do - no longer shackled.
I agree wholeheartedly Andy that freedom is ours to do what we alone see as fitting............. thank you so much for your encouraging comment.
