Two banks of a River challenge *Cross me if you CAN !*
Rope BRIDGES for walking ~ Steel ones for a VAN

WE TOO can be BRIDGES ~ Helping People in Distress
Social lives are BROKEN ~ Love lives in a MESS !
They just need A Helping Hand ~ A Smile & A Caress

In the UK there is less MONEY for SOCIAL CARE & SOCIAL
HOUSING ! Libraries and Community Centres & Youth Clubs
etc are being closed. There are hundreds of OPPORTUNITIES
for People of all ages to Volunteer to make THEIR COMMUNITY
a much Happier Better & Safer Place ! WE CAN ALL BE BRIDGES !

I did not understand - I thought the bridge had gone out shopping or something. Enough twaddle from me! lol.
GOOD MORNING UNCLE STEVE ! Its like the Famous *BRIDGE @ AVIGNON in FRANCE* We get half way across and it stops in Mid-river so you either get WET and go to the other SIDE (thats what Bridges are for !) or go back to SQUARE ONE ! Pleased you enjoyed it ! As HUMAN BRIDGES we should never stop in the Middle of a Crisis ~ AMEN

THANKS *D* Yes indeed - we all experience BROKENNESS from time to time in our lives - which can lead to despair. I guess the point we are making is that its helpful when someone comes along side and helps us (in a gentle way !) to mend our brokenness and lift our despair. Thank you for your helpful comment.

Nicely said, A&B. I guess you could have added a lot more stanzas. Build bridges between Nations, between Generations, between Races, and on and on. We can all become bridge-builders, no engineering degree required!
Thanks for your comment FRED ~ much appreciated ! It is very true what you say ~ there are many areas of LIFE in which more cooperation (Bridge Building) would make a big difference. An example is BRIXET ! The UK voted to leave ~ so leave we must. However (despite the fact that we needed to get BREXIT done) Theresa Mays (Right Wi g PM) deal with Europe was defeated three times because LABOUR (Left Wing) refused to cooperate (build a Bridge) and the opportunity to get BREXIT done was rejected. Later some of the Labour MPS regretted their decision !

Thanks RON for your encouraging comment ! YES WE found the juxaposition and such an iconic song (Simon & Garfunkel 1970) with Grenfell Tower moving ! The first two verses of BRIDGE was writen by Paul Simon (who were Jewish) as a Hymn. The final verse *Sail on Silver Girl* was only added when they got in the studio. It lacks the empathy of the first two verses. This explains why on this very challenging occasion only verses 1.& 2. were played !
