If I Could Paint My Life

daydreaming

Tonight I stare at the sky

I see the stars turn red and blue

You know I long to be with you

There’s nothing else I rather do.

Each time the moonlight fades away

I watch the comets rush right through

They sprinkle ice and dust on you

That’s why I love to look at you.

If I could paint my life someday

What colors would I dare to choose?

What type of palette should I use?

I guess it's up to me and you...

I’d paint my sadness charcoal gray

I choose to paint my hopes dark green

Why not just paint my passion red?

Or paint the way I feel bright blue?

I’m drawing random lines all day

Each line connects my life to you

You’re very hard to figure out

But then perhaps you love me too!

The painting of our lives is a never ending artwork especially between lovers, may those random lines connect you for ever.
