What did it cost?
My Silence?
What was lost?
Our shame
Breath lingering lifeless
Bitter blood pukes out my name

Smother me with your poison
Cover me up with our lies
Wrap your arm around me
Choke me then tell me to smile

What did you pay?
For Silence?
Forbidden my Truth to say
Never to speak
Coercion crawls and creeps
Sews up my lips and secrets keep

Fill my grave with ancient sands
Hidden like your favourite treasure
Make sure an X never marks my face
Let cruelty caress your very best endeavour

What will it cost?
My story?
Lost amidst
An enchanted tale
I know no one will believe me
You made sure, my truth, wasn’t for sale
