Hermit

Jabberwocky

I was not always holy

I was not always damned

But time has taught me slowly

To find my place to stand

Somewhere south of heaven

Some ways north of hell

I found the peace to leaven

The truth I had to tell.

But life has from me taken

All ears both near and far

I mumble in my cabin

But leave the door ajar.

In life we need to be aware of both good and bad, leaving the door ajar is the right way to do it.

This poem has everything for me. Very well done. Yes.
I would like to make it a fave if I may.

    Kind regards, Alan
