do you remember the night

Jon Nakapalau

we played running up that hill

by kate bush
over and over again

and i said it reminded me
of the myth of sisyphus

and that the hill was the problem
we would always have

no deal with god would solve it
because we had left him at the bottom

of the hill as a child in tattered clothes
ignoring him and pushing forward

and you just laughed at me
said i was so serious

but that it was cute
so we listened to the song again

and you put your head on my shoulder.
