Heart-Breakers..

Fay Slimm.

Heart-Breakers.

I, looking to now
..........................may see icy goodbyes.

Cold can scribe lonely
...............................but for only a while.

Sudden knows nothing
...............................of season's timing.

Parting heals better
........................when sunk by ebb-tides.

Tho' drifts of bleak past
.................. may heighten grief's waves.

Sun melts the quicker
......................betrayal's heart-breakers.

Yet new dawns ahead
.........................can warm solo's corner.

When birdsong begins
....................hurt wings will spring-soar.

ANGELA HERE - Good Evening Fay - Great choice of Picture (Melancholy) to ameliorate the Poem ! Love the the structure of the Poem - such FLOW & RHYTHM !
Grieving for a loved One is always more intense in WINTER - when the days are not only LONELY but COLD also ! However when SPRING comes and we see signs of RESSURECTION and our grieving in a New Light ! And a promise of togetherness again ! In Love & Loss every Season has its own compensation - AMEN !

    Blessines & Peace & Joy & Love !
    Yours ANGELA & BRIAN
