Winter

myself and me

Without invitation

winter stops by

As always

greeting me with its sweet coldness

Without permission

Winter stays

like old times

decorating the world with ice and snow

Without planning

winter throws parties

serving hot chocolate and turkey

playing snow fight and skiing

Without noticing

I have used to the company of winter

occasionally

even enjoy its little tricks

Without goodbye

winter disappears

leaving a note on the budding branch

"See you soon"

All the seasons disappear but we know that the glory of them all will always be with us.
