Lord, help me trust, go on with you

You do strengthen and me renew

If easy be when comforted

Or hard if seems your presence hid

 

Give grace in trial, in suffering

Your good plan and your purpose bring

Whether afflicted body, soul

Or spirit, you do make us whole

 

Forgive where we dull, dreary be

Come to us, from each bondage free

And cleanse from sin, and hear each prayer

As in community we share

 

Not go alone, independent

For you to us your Son have sent

To join us all in unity

And showing each what your way be

 

We bear no fruit if unattached

If from the vine we be detached

But if we as branches remain

In Him, much fruit for Him we gain
