Burned bridges

Nemo

Don't erase me
Your memories screamed
With watery eyes, and painful sighs
I burned the bridge between me and you

Fragments of you were all I had
In these painful times,
I held them close
Now the time is right
To
Let them go..

    A thoughtful write Nemo.
I didn't get the hang of it - I burnt my bridges before I crossed them. I wondered why I never got across the river! lol.

You may let them go consciously but there will be subconscious memory which will surface unexpectedly.

Yes, there comes a time to stop mourning a loss.

Letting go is given its foregoing hurts and pains in this impressive lament - a sensitive write Nemo.

A good write a bit sad Nemo.

Once we have burned our bridges with people one has to really move on.

Very emotive write, at the moment all I have is memories of my dear departed wife.
