A Thank You Letter

anabella

To those who have caused me pain

You meant everything

To my tiny mind

I believed the vinegar you

Forced me to swallow

Was okay

I let you shove and twist words

And knives into my heart

Until there was nothing left

But an empty cavity

Filled with self hatred

For I was just looking

For love

Love I never had

And that’s okay too

Because I have nothing but love

For those who forced me to

Release the negative helium

Within myself that I once called self pity

But that helium

Only allowed me to soar higher

Than ever

So thank you, for ruining me

Because my anger

Only brought more love
