though a sea of guilt
so deep
surrounds me
i am at peace
beneath the swell
of dreams that rise
to drown me
i am
so profoundly sorry
for how you found me
laid out along the sea
washed ashore alone
without your arms
around me

This is quite short, but I like it. "The swell of dreams that rise to drown me", as if the author refuses to sink any deeper. A nice read.
Angela here (I share this site with Brian my Fiance) Im 31 and a Physiotherapist. I am qualified in Acupuncture & Aromatherapy both od which are *Alternative Medicine* in the UK ! Your choice of title is interesting ! CAYO HUESO (Bone Cay) is a Cultural Centre in Havana Cuba ! Brian & I have visited CUBA and really enjoyed it we are both competent in Spanish - A beautiful Language. You will find MPS an empathetic site (Mainly US & UK) and it operates by reading & commenting on each others Poems.
This is an elegant poem with an intriguing double rhyme - Surrounds me - Drowns me - Found me - Around me ! The poem has good meter which makes it a delight to recite ! Short Poems are always best !
You have classified it as REFLECTION but I think there is a touch of MELANCHOLY as well ! Thanks for sharing - more please. It must be stimulating to live in the Bronx NY NY. We live close enough to LONDON UK to take advantage iof the Culture !
Love Peace & Joy
