Forest of Dean.

Goldfinch60

She drove along the road,

The forest around us,

Its beauty was mesmerising.

The branches reaching out,

Reaching out to me.

I looked deeper and deeper,

The glory of nature seen,

Seen in the depths,

The depths of the woodland.

The further she drove

The deeper became the wood,

The unboundless glory all around.

A magnificent drive

Where I could look around.

One day I will return,

Return and walk with nature

Among this wonderful forest,

The Forest of Dean.

The forest, as locals call it, is a vast wonderland of variety. Lots to explore there Goldfinch. When i worked in Gloucester, the nearby city, true forresters were considered a special breed of man and have a distinct broad accent.
    Stay healthy and walk far.

I have been there once before, Joyce and I had a wander around but it is a vast place to explore so I will go there again - with my walking boots.

You done all that walking yet? Or still to do? Them Rivers and Forests, etc. We re-visit them too, and maybe vary the routes. Even going the opposite direction can be a change.

Haven't walked the forest yet but have walked in many other places and will do more.
