A Quest For Satisfaction

Lcr21

A quest for satisfaction,

I jump from one thing to another, hoping the next will quench my thirst for fulfilment.

Stability is not my friend, it's stifling

I can't stand a life of 'this is it'

The day to day, mundane, it's suffocating.

I break free, run away and repeat the cycle again

Life would be easier if I knew what it was I am looking for,

A needle in a haystack with no idea what the needle is or why I'm looking for it.

I thought I wanted love, then I got it and it wasn't as I imagined.

I thought I wanted a house, I got it and it wasn't as I imagined.

I thought I wanted freedom, I created it and it wasn't as I imagined.

I'm beginning to think my imagination is my curse.

    Awsome!

'A needle in a haystack with no idea what the needle is or why I'm looking for it.'

I think we are all searching for that one thing to ultimately make us happy. Maybe that one 'thing' is self love.

I love the ending. Our imagination has a lot to answer for.

    Enjoyed the read!

We all look for that one thing that will settle us but it could take time to find it but once found the love of life becomes the norm - it will come.
