Step Careful

Cynthia

Step careful little girl

One wrong move and everything will collapse

One wrong word

He'll be angry

He'll leave

Girl you're walking on eggshells

Don't fail

Momma wants you to smile

Daddy wants you to be bubbly

Boyfriend wants you to act a certain way

I CAN'T DO THIS ANYMORE

I'm not perfect

I have issues

I want to say I'm done

I want to tell them my thoughts

But they'll push me aside

Step careful little girl

Don't mess up

Don't embarrass them again

    Middle Finger to them!
    Be You!

way to capture the pressure of living up to others expectations in words!

I'm with Bragee here. If this is a reflection of your light right now... You need to put you first. You need to be true to who you are. Talk to your parents and don't let the boyfriend dictate to you. You're perfect just as you are
      Flaws and all.
Keep writing. Keep your chin up.
      Good little poem nonetheless.

You must come first, see what it is that you want in your life and just go for it.
